BELTON (August 21, 2012)—Belton police have joined law enforcement agencies around the state in an effort to crack down on drunken drivers through the Labor Day weekend.
The "Labor Day Impaired Driving Mobilization Program" began Sunday and will continue until Sept. 3.
The goal of the campaign is to reinforce the consequences of driving while intoxicated and prevent people from losing their lives in accidents, police say.
