BELTON (August 31, 2012)--For the last four years UMHB has consistently beat its record of having the highest enrollment number in its history.
Construction crews were hard at work this summer expanding much-needed parking spaces and working to build new facilities on campus.
UMHB is now home to 3,287 students, 150 more than last fall.
The school is comprised of 2,926 undergraduate students, 278 students pursuing master’s degrees and 83 doctoral students.
The freshman class enrollment broke last year’s record by one student.
631 are enrolled this year.
“I think prospective students are noticing not just our strong academic programs and our emphasis on Christian personal attention, but also all the great campus master plan projects that are underway,” Enrollment Management Associate Vice President Dr. Gary Lamm said.
UMHB was chartered in 1845 by the Republic of Texas.
