BELTON (October 16, 2012)--UMHB will hold a dedication ceremony Friday for the new Baugh Center for the Visual Arts.
The two-story facility includes an art gallery and classrooms where ceramics, screen-printing, and computer design are expected to be held.
The $5 million building was named in memory of Eula Mae and John Baugh, Houston philanthropists who supported higher education and Texas Baptist causes.
John Baugh was the founder of Sysco Corporation, the world’s largest food distribution service.
Tours of the building will be offered to those in attendance following the ceremony.
The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. at the corner of 9th Avenue and Shine Street on campus.
