Belton: Abused Women Get Local Help They Need

BELTON (October 9, 2012)--Women, Inspiring and Networking for Growth and Strength (WINGS) is a local class offered to women who suffer from various forms of abuse.

It is a four-part weekly class with each week to cover a different topic.

The first week will cover resources and the second week will cover police and courts.

Topics for the third and fourth weeks include children and family violence and “what now?”

The classes focus on helping women become stronger and the topics repeat after each four-week session.

The class is free and open to anyone wishing to learn more.

Classes meet at the Aware Central Texas building at 1003 N. Main Street from 5:15 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. on Mondays.
