BELTON (July 13, 2012)—Belton firefighters responded to a report of smoke in an apartment at around 9:15 p.m. Thursday at the Country Square Apartments at 724 East Avenue N.
The smoke was traced to the apartment’s oven and was the result of unattended cooking, the fire department said Friday.
Firefighters cleared the smoke from the apartment.
No one was hurt.
