BUCKHOLTS (September 18, 2012)--Several organizations came together to provide 66 students backpacks and school supplies this year.

Amazing Grace Thrift Shop, 3P Cowboy Church, 1st Baptist Church and Christian Community Church contributed a total of $2,500 to help purchase needed supplies and materials.

Amazing Grace Thrift Shop Founder and Director Debbie Hays organized the project and has contributed to many other programs, the school district said.

“It is my passion to and desire to continue to help the kids in need. I would also like to make sure that all the kids have a good pair of shoes. If you see some kids that are in need, can you please let me know and I will buy them some new shoes,” Hays said in a note to the school district.

“Ms. Hays set a new record this year by helping all students who needed supplies,” a spokesperson said.
