CAMERON (February 26, 2013)--Two men were in custody Tuesday after Cameron police arrested them during a warrant search of a local house.

Michael H. Wright, 41, and Ruben Cardona, 34, both of Cameron, were being held in the Milam County Jail Tuesday.

Cardona was ordered held on bonds totaling $7,500, charged with possession of a controlled substance, a state jail felony, and possession of a dangerous drug, a class A misdemeanor.

Bond had not been set Tuesday morning for Wright, who faced the same charges, a Milam County Jail spokeswoman said.

A Cameron police news release states on Monday at about 5:30 p.m., Monday officers of the Cameron Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol served a drug search warrant in the 1700 Block of North Travis Street.

District Judge John Youngblood signed the search warrant.

During the search of the house, officers located methamphetamine, controlled substances, and assorted drug paraphernalia.

The release said additional charges may be filed after lab analysis of the seized items.
