CENTRAL TEXAS (August 7, 2012)--The Central Texas Astronomical Society will host three free Star Parties for the public on Saturday in Belton, Waco and Hubbard.
The annual Perseid meteor shower is the main focus this weekend as it reaches its peak, but viewings of deep sky objects within the Summer Triangle are also on the agenda.
The group will provide telescopes for public viewing, but guests are welcome to bring their own.
The parties are from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. at Overlook Park in Belton, the Waco Wetlands in Waco, and Hubbard City Lakes Park.
