(October 1, 2012)--Communities across Central Texas will take a stand against crime by participating in the National Night Out festivities planned for Tuesday.
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, strengthen community and police partnerships and to send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Residents are encouraged to turn on their porch lights, lock all doors and come out the designated activity areas where there will be food, youth activities, and safety officials on hand.
