COPPERAS COVE (June 19, 2013)--Power is back on after a brush with wildlife left about 1,400 people without power.

Just before 9 a.m. Wednesday Oncor began receiving calls that power was out in the northwest area of Copperas Cove.

Oncor was notified by wildlife officials that an animal, most likely a squirrel, had come in contact with a power line on Avenue D, Killeen Area Manager for Oncor Karl Green said Wednesday.

Power was restored about an hour later, Green said.
