COPPERAS COVE (September 24, 2012)--City council members and the public will discuss Tuesday rezoning a section of Constitution Drive for the construction of business offices.
The 75-acre lot near the construction site of the Five Hills Shopping Center could be rezoned to make way for new businesses in the area.
“On the business attraction side, the Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation will be strongly pursuing desirable businesses in the light industry sector. CCEDC has purchased 73 acres of prime land and is now fully developing it as The Narrows Business and Technology Park. The busi¬ness park will have excellent access along the south U.S. 190 bypass and adjacent to the new 5 Hills Retail Center commercial development,” a CCEDC spokesperson said.
The public hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the city hall council chambers at 507 South Main Street.
