CRAWFORD (June 26, 2012)--East Crawford Water Supply Corporation issued a boil notice Tuesday for all customers after a pump failure at the Stevens Lane plant.
Water intended for drinking, cooking, cleaning and ice making should be boiled vigorously for at least two minutes and then cooled prior to consumption, water system officials said.
Also, the company says that no outdoor watering will be allowed until further notice, including: lawn watering, filling of swimming pools, car washing and other non-essential uses.
The watering of livestock is not restricted.
Customers with additional questions should call (254) 486-2716.
Water system officials will notify customers when water is safe to consume.
