FORT HOOD (December 14, 2012)--An Army pilot declared an emergency Friday morning as he was taxiing along an apron at Robert Gray Army Airfield.

III Corps and Fort Hood spokesman Tyler Broadway said the airplane never became airborne and was immediately directed to a nearby hangar.

The pilot and two passengers were on board the C-12 and none was injured, Broadway said.

There was no explanation of the incident that called for the emergency declaration, he said.

The incident did not create any other hazard at the airfield and aviation operations continued as normal, Broadway said.
