Fort Hood: Soldier Found Unresponsive In Barracks Room Dies

FORT HOOD (November 16, 2012)—Spc. Kyle Evan Bergeland, 21, of Keizer, Ore., who was found unresponsive on Tuesday in his barracks room, died later the same day, Fort Hood said Friday.

Bergeland joined the Army in July 2009 and arrived at Fort Hood in January 2010.

He had been assigned to 2nd Squadron, 38th Cavalry Regiment, 504th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade since June 2010.

He deployed to Afghanistan from June 2011 to May 2012.

The circumstances of his death are under investigation, Fort Hood said.
