BELTON (February 12, 2013)--A Fort Hood soldier was held Tuesday in the Bell County jail charged with attempted murder and two counts of aggravated assault in Maryland.
Police in Montgomery County, Md., said the soldier, Khiry Blue, 21, was named in a warrant charging attempted murder and the two counts of aggravated assault.
Montgomery County police public information Officer Rebecca Innocenti said the charges stem from an attack on a 33-year-old man on June 25, 2012 in Montgomery Village, Md.
Bell County Chief Deputy Chuck Cox said Blue was arrested on Fort Hood, but he shows an address on Terrace Drive, in Killeen.
Maryland authorities have started the extradition process, Innocenti said.
