FORT HOOD (September 11, 2012)-A wildfire that erupted on Friday was still burning Tuesday, Fort Hood officials said.
On Monday, more than 100 acres had burned near Brown Creek, according to a post on the III Corps and Fort Hood Facebook Page.
Fire breaks are in place and emergency crews have been monitoring the scene, however, officials believe there may be unexploded ordnance in the area.
The fire was moving into a grassy area away from the brush.
"We are just monitoring it now, we can't do anything else," a Fort Hood spokesperson said Tuesday.
