Fort Hood: Hispanic Heritage Honored At Fort Hood

FORT HOOD (September 21, 2012)--A Hispanic Heritage Month Observance got underway Friday on post.

“Diversity United, Building America’s Future Today,” from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m., was organized by III Corps and the 2nd Brigade Combat Team “Black Jack,” 1st Cavalry Division.

The event included a reading of the Hispanic Heritage Proclamation, dance performances and guest speaker, ten-year Army veteran and Vice-Chairman for the Killeen Chamber of Commerce, Jose Segarra.

A Hispanic food sampling was also held at the Black Jack Dining Facility.
