FORT HOOD (September 28, 2012)--The 2012 Gold Star Mothers Day, an event where mothers of fallen heroes will share their story and memories of their loved ones, will be held Saturday.
They are invited to the Survivor Outreach Services Center to get help and support from others who understand their grief.
“Lighting a luminary on Gold Star Mothers Day has become a tribute to those mothers and lets them know they don’t stand alone,” a Fort Hood spokesperson said.
Luminaries will be made by attendees to take home and light refreshments will be served.
