FORT HOOD (January 25, 2014)--A section of Santa Fe Road was temporarily blocked off and the surrounding area secured Friday at Fort Hood after a training round was found near the construction site of the new Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.
A team from the 79th Explosives Ordnance Detachment that was sent to the scene determined the round was inert.
The area was cleared and normal traffic and work resumed before noon.
