GATESVILLE (August 15, 2014) A Gatesville man appeared for arraignment on Wednesday in 52nd District Court and elected to plead guilty to a possession of methamphetamine charge.

Judge Trent Farrell sentenced Darrell Lee Stanfield, 46, to serve seven years in state prison on the second degree felony charge, Coryell County District Attorney Dustin Boyd said Friday.

Stanfield was arrested July 17 after sheriff's deputies raided his South 14th Street home where they recovered methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Boyd said.

When deputies raided the home, they found three others inside but none of them was arrested, a news release from Boyd's office said.
