GATESVILLE (July 3, 2014) A Gatesville man told police Thursday he was struck by a car while walking along State Highway 36 and that the occupants got out and robbed him.
The man, who lives in Gatesville but was not named, was not injured, Gatesville police Chief Nathan Gohlke said.
Police were sent at around 1:15 p.m. to the 2800 block of South Highway 36 where they found the victim.
He told officers he was walking along the highway when a green car drove past him and the passenger opened the car door, which struck the man.
He said two men got out of the car and one of them took cash from his shirt pocket.
The victim did not provide any further details about the car or the men who robbed him.
Gohlke said the incident is under investigation.
