GEORGETOWN (February 20, 2013)--Williamson County commissioners voted Tuesday to do away with precinct-specific voting locations, meaning residents will have the freedom to choose which location in the county to cast their ballot.

The change will not necessarily mean fewer polling places, but some locations could close.

The voting centers will be decided on sometime before the May elections.

Once decided, locations will use electronic machines eliminating the use of paper ballots.
