GROESBECK (November 14, 2012)--Just minutes after the resident left for work Wednesday morning a travel trailer in Groesbeck went up in flames.
Firefighters from Groesbeck and Mexia were sent just after 8 a.m. to a trailer park at 815 Gala Street where neighbors reported smoke coming from a travel trailer.
Mexia Fire Chief Clayton Shivers said when the first units arrived they found the front portion of the travel trailer engulfed in flames.
He said by the time the fire was out the travel trailer was a total loss, more than 50-percent destroyed.
Shivers said reports from neighbors indicated the resident of the trailer had left for work just a few minutes before they noticed the fire.
