Groesbeck: Local Equestrian Team to Hold Fundraiser for Nationals

GROESBECK (March 15, 2013)--The Prime Time Express is having a baked potato luncheon on Tuesday to raise money for nationals.

Prime Time Express is an equestrian drill team that competes and appears in parades and rodeos, including appearing in The Rose Parade in California earlier this year.

"Since we went to the Rose Parade, we increased a few members which means we need more money for nationals," Board Director Celeste Coffee said.

The team will be selling loaded baked potatoes with butter, sour cream, and cheese for $6 as part of their first fundraiser of the season.

The team is hoping to raise about $2,000 from this event and needs a total of about $10,000 to go to nationals, Coffee said.

"We always go to Nationals and they've never won anything less than 2nd place," Coffee said.

The luncheon will take place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and can be picked up through the drive through window at Coffee Insurance Agency on E. Yeagua St.

Meals will need to be pre-ordered by 1 p.m. Monday.
