HARKER HEIGHTS (August 22, 2013)--A second suspect was in custody Thursday in connection with a July shooting outside of a Harker Heights residence that left a man and a woman injured.
Kevin Daryl Grinton II, 22, was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bond charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He turned himself in Thursday at the Bell County Sheriff's Office.
Genesis N. Gadson was arrested on Aug. 1 in connection with the incident.
She was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bond on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge, but did not appear on the jail log on Thursday.
Grinton was arrested on a warrant issued in connection with a July 29 shooting that left a woman injured by gunfire and a man injured when he was struck by a vehicle that officers said was involved in the disturbance, Harker Heights police Roosevelt Wilson, Jr., said.
Officers were sent at about 6:15 p.m. that day to an address in the 3700 block of Stillhouse Lake Road where they found a woman who had gunshot wounds to her leg and a man who had been struck by a vehicle.
Both victims were taken by ambulance to Scott and White Hospital, in Temple, for treatment.
