HARKER HEIGHTS (October 17, 2013)--Harker Heights police were searching Thursday for suspects in connection with a shooting Wednesday morning that left a man injured.
Officers were sent just before 4 a.m. Wednesday to an address in the 1600 block of Inca Drive to investigate a report of gunfire, Harker Heights police Sgt. Roosevelt Wilson said.
Investigating officers found a man in the immediate area who appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound to his lower extremities.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Scott & White Hospital, in Temple, with undetermined injuries, Wilson said.
A news release issued by Harker Heights police on Thursday morning says investigators have identified both the victim and suspects in the case, but withheld their names.
There was no indication in the release that any arrests had been made.
Roosevelt asked anyone with information about the shooting to call Harker Heights Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division at (254) 953-5400.
