HARKER HEIGHTS (January 14, 2013)--A new program in Harker Heights is designed to promote youth exercise while easing the burden of costly sports equipment.
The City of Harker Heights Parks & Recreation Department in cooperation with Mellisa Brown of Farmers Insurance created the City of Harker Heights Equipment Exchange Program (CHHEEP).
Beginning this winter used sports equipment can be donated at Farmers Insurance or the parks and recreation department.
Equipment can be picked up at Prospector Self Storage on Prospector Trail for your child’s seasonal use at no cost.
Heights Lumber & Supply will be contributing supplies for the operation.
