HEWITT (August 29, 2014) A Hewitt man and woman were arrested after officers from several agencies served a search warrant at a home and recovered drugs, drug, paraphernalia and cash.

Dawn Michelle Nelson, 40, and Lee Dwayne Warneke, 35, were ordered held in lieu of $20,000 bond each in the McLennan County Jail, both charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance/methamphetamine, jail records showed.

Nelson and Warneke were arrested at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday after McGregor police, a Woodway police SWAT team, Coryell County Sheriff's deputies and McLennan County Constable Stan Hickey served a search warrant on a residence in the 1700 block of Ramada Drive, in Hewitt.

Officers seized about eight grams of methamphetamine, scales, an undisclosed amount of marijuana, packaging materials, about 40 opiate-based prescription pills and a set of scales, McGregor police Investigator Joe Coy said in a news release.

Coy said police also seized a small amount of U.S. Currency.

Warneke was out on bond on an earlier charge of possession of methamphetamine and theft at the time of his arrest Thursday
