HEWITT (March 1, 2013)--A Hewitt teenager who was named in a warrant charging sexual assault in an incident involving a 16-year-old girl, was jailed Friday.
Hewitt police arrested Joshua Alexander Vasquez, 19, on Thursday.
He was ordered held in the McLennan County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
Hewitt Assistant Police Chief Tuck Saunders said a warrant was issued for Vasquez's arrest after the 16-year-old girl reported she was sexually assaulted at around 5 p.m. on Feb. 7, at a residence in the 1200 block of Dendron Drive.
The victim made an outcry after the incident, Saunders said, and based upon a forensic interview with the victim, a warrant was issued.
