Hill County: Authorities Offer $1,000 Reward After Cow Shot, Killed

HILL COUNTY (October 24, 2013) Authorities were offering a $1,000 reward Thursday after someone shot and killed a Charlolais cow outside of Hubbard in Hill County.

The cow was found dead one mile east of Hubbard off Highway 71, Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Special Ranger Marvin Wills said, and was likely shot Sunday night.

The reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of anyone involved.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the TSCRA's Operation Cow Thief hotline at (888) 830-2333, Marvin Wills at (254) 223-2330 or the Hill County Sheriff’s Office at (254) 582-5313.

Callers can remain anonymous.
