Hillsboro: College Rodeo Team Places Second In Regionals, Could Reach Finals

HILLSBORO (March 29, 2013)--The Hill College men’s rodeo team is vying for a spot in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association’s College National Finals Rodeo.

They currently are in second place for the southern region.

The southern region is comprised of 10 other colleges in the region.

The rodeo team includes freshman Blane Cox who leads the nation is steer wrestling, sophomore Michael Houston who placed second and fifth in national saddle bronc riding and sophomore Dalton Votaw who is 21st in the nation in bull riding.

Hill College will host their own rodeo April 12-13 at the college’s fair grounds and the event will be open to the public.
