WACO (June 30, 2012) - The Humane Society of Central Texas was full of activity on Saturday afternoon.
With space for animals at a premium several of the volunteers decided to put together an event to draw people to the shelter.
The day brought hundreds of central Texas together for food and fun, all the while helping the Humane Society increase adoptions.
There was also a bear sighting, as several members of the Baylor Lady Bears also participated in the festivities.
By the end of the day eighteen dogs and four cats found new forever homes.
