KEMPNER (November 20, 2012)--City officials are hoping for a settlement offer from Gene Doss Construction, Inc. after hairline cracks were found in the city hall building.
Recently city officials and attorneys made a walk-through in the more than $350,000 building where, according to the city, apparent issues were found.
The building was completed in September of last year and is still under warranty.
However, according to a city spokesperson, the company believes the issues could be weather-related and are therefore not covered under the warranty.
A settlement still has not been presented by the Temple-based company.
