KILLEEN (March 28, 2013) --- Mark Robinson, 26, was in the Bell County Jail Thursday charged with injury to a child in an incident in which a 1-year-old child suffered injuries that included a skull fracture and a subdural hematoma, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The child was injured while in Robinson’s care, the affidavit said.

Robinson was jailed Wednesday after he gave a written statement to Killeen police in which he said he was spinning the child in the air like an airplane on Aug. 23 when the infant’s head struck a dresser in the room, the affidavit said.

The affidavit says the officer reviewed medical records for the child and determined that he had to be treated for a skull fracture and subdural hematoma.

The medical records state these injuries are not consistent with accidental trauma, the affidavit said

Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke set Robinson’s bond at $100,000.
