Killeen: Police Look For 2 Jewelry Store Thieves

KILLEEN (July 2, 2014) Killeen police were asking for help Wednesday in identifying two men who are believed to have stolen items from a local jewelry store.

Officers were sent just after 4 p.m. May 5 to K's Jewelers, 2100 S. W. S. Young Dr., where an employee reported that at around 7:30 p.m. Monday May 5 two men entered the store, Killeen police spokeswoman Tina Amerson said.

One of the two was able to distract store employees while the other suspect reached over the counter, into an unlocked display case and take two trays of bridal rings.

The two men then left the store on foot.

Police say the two made away with about 12 rings valued at a total of $20,000, Amerson said.

The two men were black.

One was wearing a white ball cap and a white T-shirt and the other was wearing a dark colored ball cap and dark colored T-shirt.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-TIPS.
