KILLEEN (March 4, 2014) A Killeen school bus and a passenger car collided Tuesday morning at a busy Killeen intersection, but the children on the bus and the driver of the car all escaped injury.

The accident was reported at around 10:35 a.m. at the intersection of South Fort Hood Street and Elms Road.

Traffic on both streets was restricted after the crash as crews removed with debris from the wreck.

Police said a Chevrolet Malibu ran into the back of the school bus as the bus pulled to a stop at a stop sign.

There were several students on the bus but officers at the scene did not say exactly how many.

KISD sent a second bus to the scene to transfer the students on to their destinations.
