KILLEEN (July 30, 2013)—A stretch of U.S. Highway 190 will be closed from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Friday in Killeen while workers shift lanes for the U.S. 190-Rosewood Drive project.
Westbound traffic will be routed off the highway onto the frontage road at the Stan Schlueter Loop exit and back onto the highway at the entrance ramp just before the Stan Schlueter Loop intersection.
The closure won’t affect eastbound traffic.
The project involves raising U.S. 190 over the intersection with Rosewood, widening the highway to six lanes from just east of Stan Schlueter Loop to just west of FM 2410, extending Rosewood Drive from FM 2410 to Fawn Drive and widening FM 2410 to five lanes from Stan Schlueter Loop to Roy Reynolds Drive.
Work should be finished in the fall of 2015.
