KILLEEN (February 7, 2013)—A driver who sped off early Thursday morning after an attempted traffic stop in Killeen, crashed his car and then ran remained at large Thursday night.
The chase started just after 12:15 a.m. Thursday when an officer tried to pull the man over for a violation in the area of Zephyr Road and Jefferies Avenue.
The man sped off, but his car hit a curb on South Twin Creek and he lost control of the vehicle, which hit a light pole, police said.
The man jumped out of the white Dodge Charger and ran, hiding behind some nearby apartments, police said.
