KILLEEN (February 28, 2013)—A Killeen woman arrived home Monday to find a teenager emerging from the front door of her home in the 600 block of Crockett Drive with a handful of her bras.
She told officers that when she honked the horn of her vehicle, the teenager threw the bras on the floor, ran out of the backdoor of the house, jumped a fence and escaped.
She evidently startled the teenager, because he left his backpack behind with a prescription pill bottle inside whose label included both his name and his address, an arrest warrant affidavit said.
Officers went to the address where they found Christopher William Gregory, 18, and, in his bedroom, discovered bras and women’s underwear that evidently was taken during an earlier break-in at the same house, the affidavit said.
Gregory’s mother, the affidavit said, “admitted that her son had been known to steal women’s underwear.
Gregory was in the Bell County Jail Thursday evening charged with burglary of a habitation.
His bond was set at $50,000.
