KILLEEN (August 31, 2012)--Aegis, a global business that offers support to a variety of providers by delivering improved consumer experiences, plans to hire more than 500 employees at its Killeen facility by September 10, Head of Marketing for the Americas Kevin Nolan confirmed Wednesday.

The sales and customer service applicants will assist mostly healthcare professionals.

Hundreds of part-time, full-time and seasonal jobs became available due to contracts (previously in place) coming to the Killeen facility.

The company plans to hire 200 additional applicants by November 1.

However, the new positions are not the only ones that have been opening up at the Killeen location.

In April, the company began adding about 300 jobs as the result of a new contract between Aegis and travel company Orbitz.

Aegis, part of the global Essar Group, has plans to expand across West Asia, Africa, Latin America and other regions, the company website says.

According to Nolan, the company recently opened up a new facility in India marking several locations in that country.

“The hiring there does not take away from jobs here,” Nolan added.

The company has 56 locations across 13 countries and serves banks, travel sites, utility companies, health care and other professions.
