KILLEEN (February 28, 2013)--The City of Killeen is accepting applications for grants for projects that will most benefit the community.
Local leaders discussed last week the need for a homeless shelter in the area, however, they are open to other ideas that would improve the lives of community members.
Two workshops have been scheduled next month for those who are interested in applying for a grant but do not understand the process.
A workshop will be held March 7 at 8:30 a.m. and another will be held at 1:20 p.m. March 18 at city hall.
Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on April 5.
