Killeen: Christmas Extravaganza Offers Fun For All

KILLEEN (November 29, 2012)--The Holiday Under the Stars event set for Saturday will offer a day full of holiday fun for all ages.

Beginning at 8 a.m. children and their parents can enjoy pancakes with Santa during the Breakfast in Toyland event.

For those wishing to shed some holiday pounds, the annual Jingle Bell Dash 5K will get lined up at 8 a.m.

More activities will be offered starting at 10 a.m. including inflatables, bounce houses, a petting zoo, food, entertainment and free skating on the city’s synthetic skating rink.

New this year is a snow hill for children to enjoy.

Santa will make his official appearance at 6 p.m. to light the Christmas tree, followed by a photo session.

Children anxious to share their wish list with Santa will be able to do so in Santa’s Cabin.

The final activity will allow people of all ages to enjoy free cookies and cocoa while watching "Arthur Christmas" at the amphitheater.

A blanket or chair is suggested for the movie which begins at 6:30 p.m.

The fun will be held at the Killeen Community Center on East Veterans Memorial Blvd.
