KILLEEN (July 3, 2014) A Killeen man was named in an indictment Wednesday in connection with an incident during which his wife was threatened with a gun.
The Bell County Grand Jury named Quincy Lanier Hailes, 36, in the indictment charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a June 3 incident during which his wife was threatened with a gun, the indictment says.
An arrest affidavit issued in relation to the incident says the couple was arguing at their home in the 300 block of Triple 7 Trail when he drove his vehicle across the front yard and got out holding a handgun.
His wife told deputies he grabbed her around the neck, pushed her to the ground and held the barrel of the gun against the side of her head.
The affidavit says he threatened to kill her.
Hailes later was arrested when officers found him at a Temple motel.
