KILLEEN (January 17, 2013)-A Killeen man pleaded guilty Thursday in Waco's federal court to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
U.S. District Judge Walter S. Smith, Jr., set Eric Diggs for sentencing on March 13.
In an affidavit filed by arresting officers that was presented in court Thursday, investigators said Diggs had been under surveillance as part of a drug investigation by the Bell County Organized Crime Unit and on Oct. 4, 2012, was arrested after a traffic stop.
During a search of his vehicle officers discovered seven grams of a substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine.
Diggs agreed to participate with police in a sting operation to implicate his supplier, Brandon Daggs.
An operation organized some time later resulted in Daggs' arrest and he subsequently pleaded guilty to similar charges and is awaiting sentencing.
