KILLEEN (October 10, 2012)--Texas A&M Forest Service will host an open house event Thursday to showcase some of its heavy firefighting equipment.
The public is invited to come out beginning at 10 a.m. to view the display and meet with the firefighters who protect homes from wildfires.
The event lasts until noon at the Texas A&M-Central Texas campus at 1001 Leadership Place.
A program is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. featuring Texas State Rep. Jimmie Don Aycock and the Texas A&M Forest Service Director, Tom Boggus.
