KILLEEN (December 12, 2013) Some local children of military members got a special treat Thursday when more than a hundred people flew out of the Killeen airport on a Snowball Express Flight.

The nonprofit group offered a mini vacation in Dallas for children and family members of fallen military members.

One of the passengers on the flight was 7-year-old Bryanna Aldaz. Bryanna and her mom, Karina Lopez, were flying together.

Bryanna's father and Karina's husband, Army Spc. Juan Aldaz, lost his battle with cancer less than a year ago.

"She's been my strength she's the one who keeps me up every day it was very hard and I didn't think I was going to be able to make it without him," Lopez said.

Bryanna said she was looking forward to the weekend in Dallas so she could meet other kids and have fun.

The group will meet up with other families in Dallas for the weekend for all sorts of fun events for the kids.

The city of Fort Worth will also hold a parade in their honor.
