A Lampasas resident was treated for burns after trying to put out a fire in the bathroom of her home.

LAMPASAS (October 28, 2013)—A Lampasas resident suffered burns on her arms when she tried to put out a fire in the bathroom of her home, Fire Marshal Reece Oestreich said Monday.

The fire was reported at around 5 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of County Road 4450.

Firefighters found heavy smoke and flames in the bathroom.

The victim was treated at an area hospital, he said, but no other details were available.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
