LAMPASAS (September 21, 2012)--Kline Whitis Elementary will host a Locks of Love event Monday evening.
A minimum of 10 inches will be cut for the organization free of charge by licensed beauticians.
The students were made aware of the event several months ago so they could grow out their hair if desired.
Locks of Love is a nonprofit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis, according to their website.
The event is open to the public and lasts from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the school.
