LAMPASAS (September 4, 2012)--Lampasas Police made an arrest Sunday on a warrant stemming from the sexual assault of a teenage girl in 2009.
Miguel Jose Hernandez, 26, was arrested on warrants charging driving while intoxicated, false ID, fugitive from justice and on a Lampasas Municipal warrant charging sexual assault of child, police said Tuesday.
The victim of the 2009 sexual assault became pregnant, police reports say.
Police say Hernandez, not a U.S. citizen, was living on a piece of property believed to be owned by the victim's family.
Sunday night, Hernandez drove by the family's house.
The family called police and he was arrested.
Hernandez remains in the Lampasas County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $52,000.
