LAMPASAS (November 13, 2012)--Construction on Key Avenue is drawing to a close after more than a year of repairs and millions of dollars spent.
More than $7 million was poured into excavation and road improvements from Avenue E to 9th Street since January of last year.
The two-phased project included a smoother driving road, a top-notch draining system and better access to utilities so that the city can perform line repairs from the curb instead of the roadway.
A final inspection is scheduled for next week.
